Tobago is the smaller of the two islands that make up the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with Trinidad being the main island.
If you are travelling from North America, there are direct flights to Trinidad (Piarco International Airport) from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, New York, Houston and Toronto using Caribbean Airlines, JetBlue, American Airlines or United Airlines.
If you are travelling from across the Atlantic, There are direct flights to Trinidad and even Tobago (on some days) from London and Amsterdam using KLM Airlines or British Airways.
If you land in Trinidad, getting to Tobago is easy. There are two options.
Using Caribbean Airlines there are jumper planes that fly back and forth to the islands all day that cost around USD$50 for a round trip. The flight is 15 minutes from take-off to landing.
There is also a ferry service that runs back and forth, usually twice per day. Using (www.ttitferry.com) the cost is around USD$10 per leg. The ferry sailing is 3 hours from port to port. However, It is recommended to use the jumper plane in place of the ferry as during the month of May, the crossing can be rough. You will also have to find transport from the airport to the ferry terminal which would add to the expense of the trip.
For flights from Trinidad airport to Tobago, they usually open up for booking for May 2024 around January and the ferry service usually allows you to book online about 1 month in advance.
Once you get to Tobago, there are many taxi services that can take you directly to the resort from the airport. The taxi service is around TT$100 (USD$15).
