What are the tourist attractions I can see near the camp location?

The Camp is hosted in Cesenatico, Emilia Romagna, on the Italian East Coast (Adriatic Sea). Cesenatico is a small coastal town (include more info here). The region has many interesting places to visit, among them:

  • Bologna, the capital of the region, has the oldest university in the World and a beautiful monastery uphill where one can oversee the city.
  • Ravenna, next to Cesenatico, was once the capital of the Western Roman Empire and has mosaics and ruins, including 11 Unesco heritage sites.
  • San Marino, the oldest republic in Europe, located on a hilltop overseeing the Italian region, has tax-free shops, a walled medieval town, many restaurants and a unique sunset.
  • Ferrara, a historic walled city, has a castle in its very centre and many palaces dating from the Renaissance period, and a cathedral dating back to the XII century.
  • Imola is a must for race enthusiasts, it hosts the famous F1 racetrack where a tragic accident ended Ayrton Senna’s life.
  • Some of the most iconic Italian brands come from this region, among them Ferrari, Barilla, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Ducati, among others.
  • In 2018 The Lonely Planet guided named Emilia-Romagna as the best place to see in Europe.
